“Bomb-proof” is the term customers use when referring to Marathon Manufacturing’s Aluminum ATV Tub Trailer.  In addition to pioneering the aluminum ATV/snowmobile truck deck in the 1990s, Marathon also pioneered the “walking beam” axle concept for aluminum ATV Tub Trailers.  The walking beam axle enables both of the tandem wheels to remain in contact with the ground when the tub trailer is being pulled over obstacles.  The 2” trailer hitch and wheel assembly are fully removable and four 12” handles/tie-downs are provided along the front and rear of each tub supplemented by full length handle/tie-downs and stake pockets in each corner.  These workhorses are available in a 5’ or 6’ size with single axle or tandem walking beam axles in GVWs up to 1000 lbs.  For those who require it a dumping option is available with a flip up tailgate.

In 2007, Marathon made significant improvements to their industry-leading ATV Tub Trailer.   We increased the thickness of the marine grade aluminum to 0.125” in the tub trailer body and end-caps (previously 0.100”) as well as re-designing the walking beam axle hubs with “Exclusive to Marathon” maintenance-free vibration dampening bushings which provide lighter weight, a high load capacity and dirt, dust and corrosion resistance.  An increased lifespan of 500%-600% is expected from the new bearings over our previous hubs.
