Don’t get fined for an illegal load!  Ensure your ATV or Snowmobile is adequately tied down.

The constabulary in various Canadian regions have been cracking down on recreation vehicle users.

Standard 10-Cargo Securement of the Canadian National Safety Code states:

“...a light  vehicle shall be restrained at both the front and rear...using a minimum of 2 tiedowns [2 front and 2 rear].” –Sec. 88(2)

“...a person shall not use a tiedown...unless it is marked by the manufacturer with respect to its working load limit.” –Sec. 11(4)

Remember, the “MAX” rating on a tiedown means nothing to the authorities and should mean nothing to the user.

We Recommend Bolt-thru Installation...

To Prevent THIS.

Many companies suggest using camper tie-downs or turn-buckles to attach a deck to the factory tie-down hooks in the corners of your truck box.

This method has proven to be unacceptable as no truck manufacturer has published pull-out strength ratings for the individual hooks in their truck box. Most rate all 4 hooks as a system at 500lbs.
